I woke up this morning and felt sadness and joy all at once, because the sun was shining, soaking into the corners of my apartment and I wanted to bask in it with my loved ones. It is summer, but the town I’m in feels empty. My boyfriend has left for an internship, and my mom who was visiting me for the last two weeks left yesterday. So I’ll share it with you instead:
Our living room. My Portland bridges art, which conceals our breaker box (I thought this was clever). To the right, the striped fabric conceals a couch that I never finished building, but is very comfortable (we’ll discuss this in a future post).
Our dining space. A thrifted shelf. Thrifted table and chairs. Thrifted lampshade and artwork. Mostly thrifted books. I’m learning to enjoy this space on my own now.
A little messy, but cute. Thrifted art again. I may make a post about thrifting good art. Should I? That side table is a mid-century solid wood piece I thrifted as well, and it may be the nicest piece of furniture I own.
This bed does get made eventually, don’t worry. Recognize the bedsheet pattern? I thought it was adorable.
